We will begin our annual Engineers’ Day effort with breakfast at 7:30 at the Sheraton Downtown.  If you plan to attend, please let  Kasey Anderson know:

1) your State Senator;

2) your State Representative; and

3) what city you live in.

This statewide event is focused on the need for comprehensive funding reform to provide Tennessee with a long-term, sustainable solution to meet identified transportation system needs. Sessions run from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Murfreesboro.

Senate Transportation and Safety Committee Chairman Jim Tracy (R-Shelbyville) is holding meetings across the state to discuss Tennessee’s roads and transportation needs. He’s looking for input from a wide variety of citizens and community leaders about the solutions to our transportation funding challenges.

Presentations will also be made by Susan Mattson, Principal Legislative Research Analyst for the State Comptroller and Bill Moore, PE, former Chief Engineer at TDOT.

Local legislators are invited to attend as well.

A series of factors conspire against  designers during construction if firms don’t keep their guards up Presented by Bob Van Arsdale, Senior Vice-President with XL Caitlin Insurance.
